ABOUT JAGGED LENS — TORONTO'S EDITORIAL REAL ESTATE PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO

Hi, I'm Raffi — founder, principal photographer, and the person behind every frame that leaves this studio.

Jagged Lens didn't start in a studio. It started with a borrowed camera and a listing that needed photos.

Fifteen years ago, I was working as a Realtor in Toronto. I borrowed my cousin's entry-level Nikon DSLR to photograph one of my own listings — no training, no lighting kit, no idea what I was doing. But something clicked. A friend saw the photos and asked me to shoot his condo. So I bought my own camera, picked up a wide angle lens, and showed up. In that shoot, I took one image that stopped me in my tracks. It was the moment I realized I could do this — not just adequately, but at a level that actually moved people.

That single photograph led to my broker of record hiring me for a handful of shoots. Then a handful became a side business. Then the side business became the only thing I wanted to do. In 2012, I was hired as Director of Photography for a Toronto-based app startup, where I photographed the city's best restaurants, hotels, and retail spaces, and managed a team of photographers in Los Angeles and New York. By January 2014, I stepped out on my own for good — and Jagged Lens has been my full-time focus ever since.

What sets Jagged Lens apart from other real estate photography studios in Toronto isn't just technical skill — it's perspective. I came to this industry as a Realtor first and a photographer second. That means I understand the listing process from the inside: what agents need, what buyers respond to, and how a single image can change the trajectory of a sale. My background in creative advertising gave me an eye for composition and storytelling long before I ever picked up a camera.

Over the past decade, that combination of real estate knowledge and visual instinct has shaped everything we do. We don't shoot listings the way most real estate photographers do — wide, flat, and forgettable. Our editorial approach draws from architectural and interior design photography, treating every property as a story to be told rather than a space to be documented. The result is imagery that feels more like the pages of Architectural Digest than a standard MLS gallery.

Over the years, Jagged Lens has photographed thousands of properties across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area — from downtown condos and midtown semis to luxury estates in Rosedale, Forest Hill, the Bridle Path, and beyond. We've worked with independent agents, top-producing teams, boutique brokerages, developers, architects, and interior designers who share our belief that exceptional visuals aren't a luxury — they're a necessity in a market as competitive as Toronto's.

Our studio has been recognized as one of the top real estate photography companies in Toronto by multiple industry publications. Our work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Dwell, Wallpaper, House & Home, Design Line Magazine, Toronto Life, Globe and Mail, and BlogTO — publications that don't feature real estate photography unless it meets an editorial standard most studios never reach. These features aren't the result of self-promotion — they're a reflection of the work itself, and they continue to reinforce what our clients already know: that Jagged Lens sets the standard for what real estate media looks like in this city.

Jagged Lens is a lean, intentional team — and that's by design. Every project is either shot by me personally or by a carefully trained member of our team who meets the same editorial standard. We don't outsource, we don't cut corners, and we don't hand off your listing to someone you've never met. When you book with Jagged Lens, you're getting a team that treats your property like it's going on the cover of a magazine — because in our world, that's the only standard worth delivering.

Today, Jagged Lens offers a full suite of real estate media services — including editorial real estate photography, cinematic property films, Matterport 3D virtual tours, aerial drone imagery, virtual staging, schematic floor plans, listing websites, and AI-enhanced marketing technology. We serve agents, developers, homeowners, architects, and interior designers across Toronto, Mississauga, Vaughan, Oakville, Richmond Hill, and the wider GTA.
